In this scheme Maharashtra government provide financial assistance to those couples who attains the age of majority and take place inter caste marriage with or without consent of their parents or relatives, one of them from both is mandatory related to general caste and other is from schedule caste or tribe. This scheme is named as “Maharashtra Inter – Caste marriage scheme” in this scheme people avail the financial incentive

Main Objective of Inter-caste Marriage Yojana

The Maharashtra government gives the monitory help to the newly inter- caste married couplesso that they are able to run and settle down their new phase of life.

. Under this scheme incentive will be provided to the couple in collaboration of center and state government.

Inter Caste Marriage Eligibility Criteria

First and the mandatory eligibility for applying under this scheme is one of spouse should be related to schedule caste or schedule tribe and other one is from non-schedule caste or tribe.

• The wedding should be solemnized as per Indian law and also registered under the Hindu Marriage Ace 1955.
• No financial help provided to second time married couples.
• This scheme is only valid for one year from the date of marriage solemnized.
• Under this scheme government sanction the monitory help to the couples and they have also the discretionary power to sanction or not the incentive.
• Both the person are belongs to Maharashtra by birth.
• If the any of them produce the false and fabricated documents are liable to punishment as Indian law.
• The annual income of couple are not increasing the limit of INR 3 lakhs.

INSTALLMENT OF INCENTIVE Under Inter Caste Marriage Scheme

The total amount of incentive get under Inter- caste marriage scheme shall be Rs. 2.5 lakhs.

The eligible couple should get the Rs. 1.5 lakh amount directly through the mode of RTGS/NEFT in their joint account.

The balance amount or Rs. 1 lakh would be fixed deposited their joint account for the period of 3 years.

Step 1- One should apply online to avail the benefit of this scheme. Just visit the Official Website of Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra i.e. https://sjsa.maharashtra.gov.in.

Step 2– Click on “Incentive given to Encourage Inter caste Marriages” Link on the homepage of website.

Step 3-After this the Registration Form page will be displayed on screen.

Next Step 4-Now fill the details needed in the form like name, father’s / husband name, date of birth, gender, caste, date of marriage, Aadhaar number etc.) and upload the required documents.

Step 5– After filling the form and uploading the required documents click on Submit Button for final submission of application. So after these simple steps the online registration has been completed.
