The king of fruits is available in some unusual kinds that are not typically seen in markets for visitors to see. In addition to the more well-known types, these varieties are grown in limited regions around the nation. They are on view at an exhibition held in conjunction with the mela.
The promoters of the expo of rare types of mangoes received assistance from the Indian Institute of Horticulture Research and the Indian Council of Agriculture Research.

The primary guest, Deputy Commissioner K.V. Rajendra, inspected the expo’s display of more than 30 different mango types. Since only a few popular types are readily available in the markets and are consumed by the public, the expo aims to educate the attendees about the various varieties. Some types weren’t intended for sale, just for exhibition.
Mangoes of up to 8–10 different varieties were available for purchase straight from the growers in Mysuru, Mandya, Ramanagara, Kanakapura, and other locations.
For the purpose of selling the fruit, which the officials claim is organically ripened, 24 stands have been set up. The mela, which is open from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. till May, is only permitted to market naturally ripened types.

Raspuri and Mallika kinds cost 70 rupees per kilogramme, whereas the Badami variety is marketed for 80 rupees per kilogramme. Prices were set based on HOPCOMS’s current rates, which operate over 40 stalls throughout the city and buy fruit directly from growers.
There were several people in attendance, including ZP CEO K.M. Gayathri, Joint Director of Horticulture Nagaraj, Deputy Director K. Rudresh, and others.
The authorities anticipated that the mela would result in the sale of about 40 tonnes of mangoes.
The mela has proven to be the perfect venue for creating a network between customers and growers so that growers can sell quality fruits to fans of the king of fruits at fair prices.
