Assam Government recently has launched a scheme called Abhinandan Scheme. The main purpose to launch this scheme is to help students with loans for education. This scheme will cover all commercial banks and rural banks in Assam. As we know Assam Government always launched such schemes to provide financial assistance for economically weaker students.

Chief Minister of Assam SarbanandaSonowalhas launched this scheme. According to the official statement, 6052 students have gotten benefits from this scheme and 1545 students have received sanction letters from Government.

The loan amount will be directly transferred to a Beneficiaries bank account. Under this scheme, the Assam Government is going to provide a one-time subsidy of Rs. 50,000/ to students who want education loans for higher studies.

Eligibility criteria for this scheme is given below:

• Applicant should be permanent resident of Assam State.
• Applicant must have taken Educational Loan from commercial and rural bank of Assam.
• The bank should be under the Reserve Bank of India.
• The will be sanctioned before the date given by government.
• Students who have been taken BidyaLaxmi Scheme are nor eligible for this scheme.
