The state government of Tamil Nadu started the Tamil Nadu Gold Loan Waiver Scheme 2023 in the state. Under this scheme, more than 50,168 beneficiaries are going to get the benefit of this scheme. There are more than 50 thousand people who pledged their gold to get the benefit of the waiver scheme. All that beneficiaries pledge the loan maximum of 40 Gram of Five Sovereigns.
At the time of announcement of this scheme Chief Minister of the state said that the party who launched or disburse the gold loan during the AIADMK there are so many violations that have been faced by the people. But after that, they could not waive the loan. So now the present party of the state going to announce the Tamil Nadu Gold Loan Waiver Scheme 2023. Under which so many beneficiaries are going to get the benefit of the scheme.

Recently the state government of Tamil Nadu issued an order to give the effect on to the waiver of the loan taken by the people from the Cooperative banks. The cost of the gold loan waiver to the Tamil Nadu government is about 6,000 Crore.
Chief Minister MK Stalin issued an order on 13th September 2021 that all the gold loan which is taken from the cooperative banks till the 31st March 201 can be waived out on the basis of certain eligibility Criteria of the needy persons of the state. Very soon the state government officials work on identifying the eligible and ineligible beneficiaries to avail the benefit of the Gold Loan Waiver Scheme 2022 Tamil Nadu.

TN Gold Loan Waiver Scheme Eligibility List
So now the government of Tamil Nadu going to identify the people on the basis of the following criteria. Check the same.
- First one is that the beneficiaries is permanent citizen of the Tamil Nadu state.
- And he is also a valid ration card holder.
- If any of the members of a ration card holder having one or more gold loan in one or more cooperative bank will be eligible to get the benefit of the scheme.
- The gold loan gross eight upto 40 Gram.
- Apart from above the if the eligible beneficiaries will pay back the loan amount then the balance of loan amount can be including principal and other interest will be taken into account of waiver.
- The gold loan upto 40 Gram are not eligible to get the benefit under this scheme.
- The state government will pay the principal loan amount to the bank in favour of beneficiary.
