Yeddyurappa is serving as the CM of Karnataka for the fourth time, the only chief minister to do so in the history of Karnataka. He is also the only person in the history of Karnataka to serve 3 times as leader of the opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

Yeddyurappa was born on 27 February 1943 in the village called bookmaker in K.R. pet Taluk of Mandy district. His parents were Siddalinggapp and Puttathyamma. He was named after the presiding deity of a shaivit time but by the great saint Sinddalingeshwara at editor in Tumkur district.
His mother died when he was four. He completes his pretty University college education from Government college Mandy a 1960-61 . He Belongs to the Bananjiga sub-sect of the Lingayat community.
He is married with Mythradevi. His wife died after falling into a sump while drawing water .in 2007 he changed the spelling of his name to Yeddyurappa from the earlier Yeddyurappa following the advice of his astrologers.
In 2020 he was infected by the Covid-19 virus but recovered soon afterward. On 16 April 2021, he again tested +ve for Covid-19 the midst India second wave of infection.

Having been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha from my college days. In 1980 he was appointed president of the Shikaripura Taluk unit of the BJP and later went on to become the president of BJP’s Shimoga district in 1985.
And in 1994 he become the leader of the opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. In October 2007 when it was Yeddyurappa’s turn to become chief minister Kumaraswamy refused to relinquish his post.
Yeddyurappa was sworn in as the 25the chief minister of Karnataka on 12 November 2007 .in 2016 BJP RW – appointed him as the president of the Karnataka state BJP unit . He was BJP’s chief minister candidate in2018 of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly election. But the part managed to win only 104 seats ,9 short of simple majority.
