Overview Of SEHAT Health Insurance Scheme

Jammu Kashmir SEHAT Health Insurance Scheme 2022

There are about  6 lakh families of Jammu and Kashmir who are already been covered under Ayushman Jan Arogya Yojana. Then also around 21 lakh families of Jammu and Kashmir were not covered under Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Jan Arogya Yojana. So these families will be covered under SEHAT Health Insurance Scheme.

This Sehat Insurance Scheme is linked with Ayushman Jan Arogya Yojana. This scheme will provide the most important feature that every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir whether he/she is rich or poor will be covered under SEHAT Health Insurance Scheme. This scheme will provide the expenses for the treatment of citizens up to 5 lakh. About 229 government hospitals and 35 private hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir have empaneled under this scheme who will provide benefits of this Scheme.

Objective of AB-PMJAY SEHAT Scheme

On 26 December 2020 honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched this scheme. The full form of SEHAT is social, endeavor for health, and telemedicine. Under which there is a cashless health cover of Rs.5 lakhs.

Help to develop healthcare sector

The main motive behind this scheme is to develop the healthcare sector of Jammu and Kashmir so that the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir are not required to go to other cities for their treatment. If in some cases they have to go outside from the state then they can start their treatment in the hospitals which are already impaneled under Pradhanmantri Jan Arogya Yojana by which they will get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.

E-card:  For availing of free treatment in the hospitals the beneficiaries have to show an E-card in the hospital. These E-cards will provide to all applicants after registration. In Jammu and Kashmir, the government has opened 1100 health and wellness centers and they can start working soon.

Health Insurance Card under SEHAT scheme

This scheme will provide SEHAT Ecards to the beneficiaries. These SEHAT cards should be shown in the hospital in order to avail the benefit of this scheme. Eligible beneficiaries can apply for the Scheme through common service center operators.

Implementation of this PM Sehat Card Scheme

This scheme has been implemented soon in the whole state and a committee has been constituted by the central government to complete the database of residents of Jammu and Kashmir who are missing from the socio-economic caste census 2011 this scheme will provide benefits to around 1 crore, beneficiaries of the Jammu and Kashmir region. This has been made possible by the abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

PM Sehat Scheme 2022 J&K Online Registration

• The applicant has to visit the hospitals that have registered under SEHAT Health Scheme or CSC Kendra online or offline.
• There applicant has to fill the application form by entering all the required information
• After that attach all the required documents with the application form.
• Now you have to submit this application form to the hospital or CSC Kendra
• After verification and further process the a E-card will provide to the applicant.
